You will be part of HVDC Service, within Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit electrical power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems as well as to interconnect ac networks asynchronously to achieve optimized operation.
Your responsibilities
As Manager, you will lead our “Warranty & Post-warranty Service” department and be responsible for operational and strategic management of warranty and post-warranty services of HVDC projects worldwide.
An important part of your job will be to inspire, coach and develop your team of project managers. You will also provide operational and strategic support to our local service centers worldwide.

Your background
First and foremost, you are a confident leader with the ability to strike a balance between strategic, tactical and operational tasks, ensuring they are in line with our business’s local and global priorities.
Furthermore, with your great collaborative and communicative skills, you thrive in a multi-cultural environment, where you can inspire your team to great performance.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering and have a minimum 10 years experience working in the power sector, out of which a minimum of three years as line or project manager. HVDC or FACTS projects will be an advantage.
You should be fluent in English - written and spoken. Proficiency in Swedish language will be an advantage.

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids, located in Ludvika.?The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This Hitachi ABB Power Grids developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
Join our Sales & Orders department within HVDC Valves. We manage tenders and deliver electric power converters and optic measuring devices for HVDC and GPQS applications.
Your responsibilities
As a warranty project manager you will be responsible for the returns of Valve and DOIT equipment from our installed base within GPQS and HVDC.
Deliver and plan service orders according to committed scope, time schedule and budget.
Structure and drive communication towards customer for returns and quality queries.
Work closely and communicate with our engineering, product management, purchasing and production functions.
Continuously work on further improving our processes and quality assurance

Your background
Project management experience and/or a business- or engineering degree
Experience of working with SVC or HVDC applications
Good knowledge in the Office package and SAP
You are structured, driven and like to continuously improve processes and come with new ideas.

The position as Warranty Project Manager is based within the HVDC Service department. In this role you will be the customer ambassador and voice within Hitachi Energy. You will be a part of a team that has a passion for continuous improvements and quality assurance. We have fun at work and what we do is important with a direct impact on our customers, co-workers and HVDCs success!
Your responsibilities
Act as the main contact for the customer and the local Hitachi Energy representative during the Warranty period, to ensure a high customer satisfaction and build a long-term trustworthy customer relationship
Manage all warranty issues for the project and distribute and follow-up the actions with the involved technical departments/suppliers and the customer
Call and Lead “Breakdown meetings” in case of trip or breakdown
Conduct regular external (as agreed with customer) warranty review meetings and also conduct project reviews (usually quarterly) to manage the overall warranty situation
Project Management of HVDC Care Orders
Project Management for Remote Access
Ensure that Hitachi Energy has received all HSE information from the customer in order to perform a safe work at site.
Register and manage non-conformances. Communication with customers and suppliers by handling CCRP from customers, register and administrate QIT and register CCRP to internal suppliers

Your background
You hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field
At least 5 years of working experience preferably within HVDC
Project Management experience, the minimum objective is Associate Certification (APM) or similar
You are familiar with standard MS Office tools, EFR/DOR, Promis, ExtECM and SAP
Strong skills in the ability to structure tasks for the warranty projects, such as meetings/calls, schedule, minutes, risks, actions, and documentation
Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English
Experience from field operations, C&P engineering and main circuit equipment is valuable
Contract Management experience is valuable
